Calling all creative minds in the granular community!
The Australian Association for Granular Media (ANAGRAM) announces the ANAGRAM Logo Design Competition as part of our 7th Grain Days held in Newcastle, 24–25 November 2025. This competition is open to all ANAGRAM members. We invite you to design a new ANAGRAM logo to replace our current version. The winner will receive Lifetime Membership to ANAGRAM and official recognition at the Grain Days 2025.
Judging Criteria:
Representation of the community: The design is expected to represent the broad spectrum of disciplines within our community.
Values and spirit: The new logo is encouraged to embody ANAGRAM’s core values of scientific discovery, innovation, and practical impact.
Community connection: Expresses collaboration, inclusiveness, and the collective nature of ANAGRAM that connects granular material researchers in Australia and internationally.
Creativity and originality: the logo should be distinctive, memorable, and demonstrate innovative thinking.
Visual Clarity: The design is expected to remain simple, scalable, and effective in both colour and monochrome formats.
Design Guidelines:
The design should be suitable for use across multiple media, including newsletters, presentation slides, websites, and certificates. The recommended aspect ratio is approximately 1:1 or 4:3.
Use 2–3 key colours with clear contrast.
Avoid excessive detail; ensure it works in both large and small formats.
AI-assisted design is acceptable, but the designer must clearly describe their creative process and confirm that the final work is original and not generated entirely by AI.
Timeline:
